The 2015 Architectural Digest Home Design Show, www.archdigesthomeshow.com, will take place March 19-22, 2015 at Piers 92 and 94 in New York City. The show features over 400 booths, including professional interior and exterior design, decorator and installation services and some of the finest goods available for the home, including high-end, sleek, sophisticated, state of the art large kitchen appliances, artisan wallpapers, fabrics, custom-designed rugs, high quality wall paints, decorative wrought iron, lighting, bath fixtures, flooring, furniture, design accessories and more. At least half of the booths are dedicated to individual fine artists displaying their work, including two and three dimensional art, featuring paintings, photos, sculptures, glass, ceramics and distinctive, dramatic, custom woodworking. The New York Times Design Panels, featuring a number of designers, with slideshows, are held Friday through Sunday, giving ideas, insight and inspiration to the general public and designers alike. One of the highlights of the show is the annual DIFFA Dining By Design Show. Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) raises funds with this show for combating HIV/AIDS, direct care, raising awareness and prevention through education. Each year designers and design students come together to create dining tableaus. Some are breathtaking, others whimsical, some ornate, some sleek. All are unique and reflect the love and attention put into them by the designers for this great cause. www.diffa.org.
